ส่วนใหญ่เวลาใช้ภาษาอังกฤษที่มีความหมายว่า ทำให้ผิดหวัง ผมมักใช้

อีกทางเลือกคือ let  me down

You don't let me down

อีกตัวอย่างหนึ่ง There's so many times I've let you down

get along แปลว่า เข้ากันได้ดี

ก่อนอื่นขอเรียนให้ทราบว่า to get along with หมายถึง เข้ากันได้ดีกับใครบางคน
 เช่น

we get along pretty well.

I get along with the new boss very well. ( ผมเข้ากันได้ดีกับเจ้านายใหม่ )
Somcheng gets along with everybody, especially if they're rich and handsome. ( ส้มเช้งเข้ากันได้ดีกับทุก ๆ คนโดยเฉพาะหนุ่มหล่อและรวย )

ถึงเข้ากันไม่ได้ก็พูดว่า don't get along with … อาทิ
Bakkhoi doesn't get along with his new luk thung teacher.
( บักข่อยไม่เข้ากับครูสอนลูกทุ่งคนใหม่ของเขา )

มีสำนวนอีกสำนวนหนึ่งซึ่ง to get along ( โดยไม่มี with … หรือกรรมครับ ) ความหมายคือ อยู่ได้ดี ไม่ต้องกังวล เช่น
Don't worry about me. I'll get along.
( ไม่ต้องกังวลเกี่ยวกับฉัน
ฉันอยู่คนเดียวได้ )
จากความหมายนี้เราได้สำนวน How are you getting along?
ซึ่งมีความหมายคล้าย ๆ กับ How are you? เช่น

How is Somcheng getting along after her rich handsome
boyfriend left her?
( ส้มเช้งเป็นอย่างไรบ้างหลังจากแฟนหนุ่มหล่อ ๆ รวย ๆ ทิ้งเธอ )
สุดท้ายนี้คุณสามารถนำมาใช้ get on with หรือ get on โดยความหมายไม่เปลี่ยนไป

เห็นด้วย ไม่เห็นด้วย

I agree with you : เห็นด้วยอย่างยิง
I thing so too : เห็นด้วย
I thing so : น่าจะใช้นะ

บ้างครั้งไม่ใช้เรื่องที่เห็นด้วยกับไม่เห็นด้วยแต่ เรามี มุมมองที่ต่างออกไปจากผู้พูด ซึงหากพูดว่า
I don't agree with you.
I don't thing so.

 ฟังดูแล้วสั้นเกินไป ลองพูด
"I cannot see it in the same light. " : ผมไม่เห็นว่ามันจะเป็นแบบนั้นนะ.

พูดไม่รู้เรื่อง

That beside the point : เวลาที่ใครพูดหรืออธิบายไม่ตรงประเด็น เฉไฉ

Rubbish! :เวลาที่ใครพูดหรือทำอะไรที่ไรสาระ

"no have" ไม่มี

ได้ยินหลายคนพูดคำนี่  "no have" แล้วรู้สึกหงุดงิด แล้วฝรั่งที่อยู่เมืองไทยมานานก็แม่งเสือกเข้าใจอีก
ที่ถูกควรใช้ have no + noun เช่น I have no idea หรือไปใช้ Don't ก็ได้ อยากบอกแค่นี้แหละ

A lot,A lot of,Lots of

 A lot , A lot of  ,Lots of โอ้ยทำไม่ฝรั่งต้องแบ่งมันให้วุ้นว้ายด้วยวะ มากันดีกว่าว่าใช้ยังไง

1. หากคุณหมายถึง หมายเลข ปริมาณ หรือ จำนวน คุณต้องใช้ A lot of หรือไม่ก็ Lots of จำไว้ต้องมี of ด้วย.

2.a lot ใช้ปิดท้ายประโยค เช่น I don't go there a lot anymore.และไม่ใช้แทนคำนาม.

A lot of เป็นทางการมากว่า Lots of

I feel bad หรือ I feel badly

คุณคิดว่าอันใหนถูกต้อง
feel : เป็นกริยา.
bad : adj.
badly :กริยาวิเศษ.
ตามที่เรียนมา Subject + Verb+Adverb

วันนนี้มีประโยคที่น่าสนใจคือ "Please bear with me" ไม่ได้แปลว่า โปรดหมีกับกูหน่อย แต่แปลว่าโปรดอดทนกับกูหน่อย(กูกำลังพยายามอยู่) ตัวอย่างจดหมายด้านล่าง

Since the new site started I have had issues with tabs missing, information missing. Requested Support , 2 weeks ago had Sharepoint IT guy share screen , but he could not fix the problems.

Been out of office last 2 weeks focusing on Near Miss so not been able to do much else.

However in checking the site today I now find that 1 tab links me to a Google search engine!!

Please bear with me while I contact Sharepoint IT to have the issues rectified.

Don't care หรือ Don't mind

 หลายครั้งผมเห็นหลายท่านสับสนกับการใช้  Don't Care หรือ Don't Mind ซึ่งผมเชื่อว่าหลายคนก็มีปัญหาเหมือนกัน มาดูกันดีกว่าว่าแต่ละอย่างใช้อย่างไร

 
"Don't care" หมายความว่าคุณไม่ใส่ใจ,ไม่สนใจ ว่าเรื่องนั้น หรือเหตุการนั้น มันจะเกิดขึ้นหรือไม่.
"Don't care" means you don't care about what happens. It won't change your views at all.
 
"Don't mind"หมายความว่าคุณไม่อยากให้เกิดเหตุการนั้น แต่ถึงเหตุการนั้นจะเกิดขึ้นมาก็ไม่เป็นไร.
"Don't mind" means you are allowing it to happen.






"It doesn't matter"เอาไว้บอกกับฝรั่งว่าเรื่องที่เขาพูดหรือทำมันไม่สำคัญหรอก
"It doesn't matter" means you don't think it can help you, or won't affect the outcome.


"Nevermind" เวลาที่ผมคุยกับฝรั่งในเรื่องทั่วๆไป แล้วฝรั่งไม่เข้าใจแล้วผมก็ขี้เกียจจะอธิบาย ผมก็จะพูดว่า "Nevermind" หรือเวลาที่ฝรั่งเดินชนผมโดยไม่ตั้งใจ แล้วเข้าบอกว่า "Sorry" ผมก็จะบอกว่า
"Nevermind" (แต่นึกในใจที่หลังแม่งดูดีๆหน่อย)
"Nevermind" means forget about the fact I ever said anything.
